Ben Huggan (BA Hons) (Land Arch)
After training at Art College, Ben found himself more drawn towards the world of horticulture where he discovered his love of working with nature.

He spent many years managing and maintaining both town and country gardens where he gained extensive knowledge of how gardens and plants develop and grow and how to maintain them at their best. During this time he became very much aware of the need for good garden design.

Ben studied garden design at Pershore College and with John Brookes at Denmans Gardens after which he began his garden design career, later choosing to extend his education studying a full time BA (Hons) degree in Landscape Architecture. After working on some larger commercial landscape projects Ben moved back to the area of his greatest passion - gardens. From operating his own garden design practice it became apparent that to serve the needs of his customers, whilst reducing costs and maintaining design integrity, a fully comprehensive design and build service was required …hence Gardens by Design.

So if you are looking for somebody with 20 years of practical knowledge and experience who can guide you through the process of designing your garden and see the project through to completion, all under one umbrella and with a single point of contact - you have found who you are looking for.

The Team

Our friendly construction team are professional experienced landscape gardeners who are familiar with the high standards expected by Ben. They are enthusiasts as well as craftsmen and it shows in their work. The team have an extensive knowledge and experience within the landscape industry and have the ability to source unusual materials and create individual features. With his extensive experience in construction, Ben closely monitors all projects and doesn't mind getting his own hands dirty on site when required!

Where

Gardens by Design are based in Leamington Spa and operate mainly in the surrounding area covering Warwickshire, South East Birmingham, North Oxfordshire and Western Northamptonshire.
